We had a Stake Enrichment that was so wonderful. There were some really great speakers along with lots of yummy samples of things to make with food storage. I especially loved it since I have NO idea where to start with food storage. I have some but I don't have a wheat grinder and really don't know what to do with any of my stuff! :)
Anyway... the speaker at the end really touched me. I can't remember what his name was but he said he became a convert to the church along time ago and he focused his talk on, "Who touched Me"? He told the story in the bible found in Matthew Chapter 5 about the woman who touched his garment. She had such strong faith that she knew if she just touched his clothes she would be made whole. Jesus turned around and said, "Who touched me", the woman than fell down before him and told him all the truth. Jesus then said,"Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole...". The speaker also asked all of us if we were praying with real intent. Are we getting down on our knees and praying with such faith as this woman?
Are we striving to have the faith that this woman did? She had such faith that by touching his garment she would be made whole. I am going to make it a goal this month to be like this woman. I am going to strive to have immovable faith.

Depression
Lately I have noticed a lot of women I know suffer with depression. The question is how do you handle this when it can such a toll on your life? If you know someone or have depression yourself could you please comment on ways to get through it? What do you do on the days where you just don't want to get out of bed? or.. have feelings of no self worth? This is not meant for anybody to have to admit to having depression, anxiety, etc.. unless you feel you want to. Hopefully it can be a support and help for anyone who reads it.

Christmas Ideas
We were thinking that a good topic would be ideas that you can do for your family for Christmas on a low budget. So anyone who has any great ideas for gifts for Christmas, we would LOVE to hear them!
The only idea I have right now is that I am going to make my daughter a little cradle for her baby dolls. If anyone would like to do this let me know. I have a dear friend who is going to be helping me and I can get the directions.
Add any ideas you can think of too!

Clean and Organize!
1) The most important thing is to be realistic. Even when there is a big job to be done. Try to realize that you are not superwoman and it is okay to take it slow and steady. No matter what needs to be done, we tend to get a little overwhelmed and scatterbrained. Because of this, it is SO important to set small goals. Break up the big jobs. I am thinking about cleaning up around my computer right now, and I haven't done it for months because it seems so overwhelming. This morning I decided that I am being ridiculous and that it will never even get better if I don't START. So I went through and told myself just to find things I felt I could throw away. Now that that is done, I feel a little better. I feel like I can do this! Next I am going to sort through things and figure out what I need in order to put it all into organization. This leads to #2:
2) Always sort through, get rid or stuff, and figure out what you need for the items that you have first. It is much more exciting to go and buy organizing things first and then try to put your thing away in them....BUT I promise, and so do the organizing shows, that this doesn't work and you most likely won't like the results. I have found that doing it the right way saves money too. Once you have done the work to sort everything, you usually need 1/2 as much, or already have, the things you need to get them put away.
3) As far as cleaning....Microfiber cloths are seriously sent from heaven above. I can use ONE and that is all I need to dust, wipe windows, wipe smudges on doors, walls, and lightswitches, wipe down the kitchen counters, shine the sink and faucet, wipe off the washer and dryer, and spruce up the bathroom. No cleaners necessary! These really are the best. I also LOVE soft scrub. It is very effective.
4) Be conscious of your "crap zones" as I like to think of them. I always stick things on my computer desk and on one of the kitchen counters that is by the garage. For today, the one thing I am going to do: clean them off! Not relocate the "crap", but PUT IT AWAY where it goes. If it doesn't have a place, then I need to make one. It is so much easier to put things away if only you know where to put them- that is the problem of my house lately! Now, try super hard not to put anything on or in your "crap zone". You can do it! It will get easier as the days go by and you will feel fantastic!
So, those are a few of the things I have been thinking about today....I know, it seems like a lot of rambling, thanks. So now to focus the thoughts into some action for today, and oh yes, enjoying the journey of it.....hmmmm.....I like to play music that makes me feel like dancing and then I set the timer for 15 minutes or so. I tell myself: " for this amount of time, I am going to pick up. Only pick up....nothing else! No dishes, laundry, e-mailing, whatever.....it's pick up time!" Then I vacuumn and that always makes everything look better. So, today take 15 to 20 minutes and just pick up. Make sure to actually put the stuff away where it goes...no relocating! Yey! Look at you spruced up house!
I hope this is useful to somebody, or maybe cleaning is just hard to me and I am the only one that has to talk to myself and play little head games to get things done? I really hope I'm not the only one!

Exercising makes me happy!
Okay... so I am still working out what exactly I want this blog to achieve. I am thinking that it would be nice if we all just kind of contributed to it. So.... for this one I was thinking that we could all maybe write down things that help us to get motivated to exercise and some ideas of what we do. I will include some things today that we can do just in our homes alone to help us get energized and feel good. Remember, the key is to find joy in what we are doing... including exercise!
Here are some ideas:
1. Dancing!- Dancing is a wonderful exercise, which is great for your heart. Not only that, but it can lift your spirits as well, and give your overall feeling a boost. I love to just turn on the radio and dance around, especially with my girls. Do it for 15 minutes and you have exercised!
Goal- Dance around for 15 minutes.
2. Pushups – These are probably not the most favorite exercise of many people, but while they can be hard to do, you can find easier ways to do them. You don’t need to pretend you’re “Rocky”, and do them with one hand; just do what works for you. Do them on your knees, instead of keeping your legs straight. Or, do them standing up against a wall. You will be building up arm strength and working out muscles in your chest area. Maybe try 10 a day. The key is to find joy in exercising!
Goal- Try just 10. Any kind you choose.
3. Jumping Jacks – These are always fun, as they bring back memories of being a kid! Who hasn’t done jumping jacks for fun as a child? Well, surprise – they are also great cardio exercises, and good for warming up, too. Just do it! You will feel better afterward!
Goal- Let's do 20 today! You can do it! This is meant to be fun!
Okay. Let's start with that. Slow I know... especially for you gym goers but this is for everyone! Everyone can do this and it will help! I love you all!

Welcome!!!
Hi! I am so excited to be starting this blog. I have been thinking about it for some time now and decided to just do it! I am not sure where it will go but I do know that I want it to be a place where women can come and feel great about themselves and embrace motherhood. I really want us to appreciate the season of the life we are in right now!! For me it is the little smudges and little fingerprints on my walls. The little crumb trails that I can follow where I find my sweet little girls. The key is to find the joy in the journey that we are on now! I hope you will enjoy this blog!
